Ingredients:
1 box of Mclean Organic Turkey Burgers
½ red onion, chopped in thin strips
½ red and yellow peppers, chopped in thin strips
sea salt and spices you taste
8 large red leaf lettuce leaves
1 organic tomato
4 large basil leaves
1 bundle of organic asparagus
Bragg’s sauce
Dijon mustard
Sesame seeds
Directions:
- Stir fry red onions, red & yellow peppers and spice prior to placing turkey burgers in pan
- Cook at medium heat for a few minutes, until onions turn translucent (clear)
- Add turkey burgers to pan (can add frozen) and continue to stir fry veggies until blackened (almost charred and crispy) - Remove veggies and continue with turkey burgers (add additional seasoning to taste)
- Steam some thick organic Asparagus - Asparagus Dip: Equal parts Bragg's soy sauce and Dijon mustard. Sprinkle in sesame seeds to taste. Blend dip and put aside.
Presentation: - Use red leaf lettuce instead of bun
- Place burgers on one leaf and then top mustard, crispy peppers and onions, then 1 basil leaf and slices of fresh organic tomato
- Cover burger with second lettuce leaf
- Use old fashioned seeded Dijon mustard to taste for burger condiment
- Place steamed asparagus next to burger with side of asparagus dip (or drizzle over)
Jessica - This tasted so good, now my roommate wants to go and buy them. She said she would eat this every night!!
