We might be able to help you with a fundraising BBQ.

Please send your requests to michelle@mcleanmeats.com

Are you planning a charity event in your local community?

Please note that preference is given to projects that are raising money for:

- Health and well-being for our planet

It takes a village...

The expression 'It takes a village to raise a child' is an African proverb. It infers that the success in raising one child comes from the collective effort and support of a community around the child. At McLean Meats, we believe that giving back, being charitable, and giving of one’s time are the greatest gifts we can offer to help individuals, families, organizations and communities grow and flourish.

This page is dedicated to the organizations that we regularly support. As our company grows, we want this page to grow. If you have a charitable group, a fundraising event, or a community project that you feel would benefit from our donation or sponsorship, please contact Michelle Neilson at michelle@mcleanmeats.com or phone 1-760-285-4819.

Please remember that we are a small company that has grown organically over the years. While our resources are limited, we will consider every request.

Here are some members of our village:

Lift the Children supports orphanages in Africa

In Africa alone, there are an estimated 52 million orphans as a result of the AIDS epidemic, poverty and war. Their needs far exceed the resources of their extended families and communities. They need our help. In October of 2012, McLean Meats sponsored a small orphanage in Kenya through the Lift The Children Foundation. McLean has committed to a monthly donation that will help provide food and education to the children, with every single dollar donated going right to the orphanage (there are no administrative costs). We encourage other businesses small and large to do the same - there are many more orphanages that really need our help.

Promoting the mental health of British Columbians

The CMHA Vancouver Burnaby Branch coordinates an annual Community Bike Ride as a way to raise awareness for mental health and wellness. The ride has grown substantially every year with both riders, supporters, participants and sponsors. McLean is proud to be an annual sponsor, donating healthy meat products for the event’s BBQ.

Squamish Cares (pilot project)

Creating local, relevant and accessible one-stop directories and listings for charitable projects in Canadian Communities.

McLean Meats is spearheading a pilot project with The Chief newspaper in Squamish, British Columbia. The goal is to encourage all Canadian newspapers (large and small) to allocate a section in their newspapers (print and online) where individuals, organizations, clubs, churches, hospitals, etc. can post details on charitable drives that are aimed at helping individuals or families. By connecting those who have with those who are in temporary need of a hand up, Canadian newspapers can offer a community service that helps strengthen our communities. McLean Meats is proud to be a project sponsor..
